A Non-Chromated Formula to Prevent Corrosion 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Primer EW-5005 is a water-based bond primer that inhibits corrosion and can decrease solvent emissions when compared to solvent based primers. Its REACH compliant*water-based formulation is compatible with both traditional surface treatments and Sol-Gel surface treatments such as 3M™ Surface Pre-treatment AC-130-2, and delivers 3X more efficient spray transfer over traditional solvent-based primers.
